An interesting "odor-eating" molecule derived from soybean

The well-known adage "life stinks" is no longer a necessity. At least not with the soy-derived deoderizing ingredient Forestall. Forestall (INCI: Morpholinium Ethosulfate), manufactured by Croda Inc.: "is one of a unique class of cationic surfactants which are effective deodorizers for a wide range of malodors. It functions by complexing or neutralizing specific organic molecules and reducing their concentration on the vapor phase. Forestall is particularly effective against organic acids like those responsible for body odor." In non-chemist speak... Forestall traps odor molecules and viola! Stink gone! We have even found Forestall to be effective against the very pungent odor of fresh garlic. Yet, despite its effect on odor, Forestall does not alter a fragrance's aromatic bouquet.
